Will an 1985 190e 2.3 trans fit onto a '84 2.3?? What are the differences?? Also, and as a backup plan, I have a donor '84 190d 2.2 engine/5 spd trans setup...has anyone ever made this gas to diesel swap? Any heads-up I should be aware of??? Thanks, Joe in Stafford Springs

I can hear a little "whine" noise coming from the rear end between 20-30 mph. We bought our car used with 60 k miles and otherwise is in perfect condition. Car had history of a rear end seal leak which was fixed. Maybe I am fixated on that barley audible sound but it is starting to ...

I'm trying to find the most fuel efficient diesel Mercedes-Benz. Unfortunately, fueleconomy.gov only goes back to 1985. The 85 190D seems to have pretty phenomenal mileage. Everything after that sort starts slipping downhill... I'm wondering what the pre-1985 mileage was like. ...

The wooden strips along the mid-front of the dash, horizontally mounted on the glove compartment, etc., have come loose. How can they be, hopefully, simply/cheaply, reattached for a long time. They remained attached about 20 yrs. this time. I'd prefer not screwing
