Saw one of these beasts in a dealer's showroom near San Diego a week ago.
Silver, doors flipped up, etc. Salesman said they'd dropped the price four

The maintenance manual for my 1985 380SE says spark plugs should be changed
every 30k miles, except for federal vehicles. On federal vehicles it says
you should change them every 15k miles. So...what's a federal vehicle?

I changed the transmission fluid and filter on my 240d.
I did not notice a seal around drain bolt, it leaked badly, did not want
to overtighten.

I was wondering how the diesel engine is stopped in Mercedes diesels.
The ignition switch doesn't appear to mechanically valve off the fuel
line, so I assume there must be an electromechanical relay of some sort
to stop the fuel flow.

How is the wood section with the rear defog switch removed?
