leaking transmission '79 240d05 Apr 2005 00:27 GMT2
I changed the filter and transmission fluid on my '79 240d.
now, it leaks fluid.  Not too sure, but it looks like it coming from
around the drain plug.
I removed the alumimum washer and replaced it with a brass one, but it
300E  sluggish starting...04 Apr 2005 23:34 GMT8
I test drove a 1987 300E with the automatic V6 3.0 the other day and notice
right away the car was really sluggish
when starting from a stop position.  It seems almost as if there is
something wrong with the transmission.  I would
CLK 32004 Apr 2005 22:49 GMT11
Any CLK 320 owners out there? I'm strongly considering getting a 2005 320
coupe. The reviews have been mixed. How does it handle? I know it would be
different from the BMW 330 I'm leaving but it (the MB) is IMO much better
looking, both inside and out.
Transmission fluid change04 Apr 2005 06:19 GMT7
My 79 300td(automatic Transmission) is having problems shifting when it
warms up to operating temperature.  I  suspect that the filter needs
changed and the fluid--but am wondering if there is fluid in the torque
converter that needs to be replaced also--or if it has one!! Tom

450SLC:fuel injection timing sensor???04 Apr 2005 05:49 GMT1
I seem to be having an intermittent problem with my '73 450SLC.
From time to time, the engine will stuble badly, but it will only
last for a few seconds then the problem goes away as quickly
as it strated. I've ruled out an ignition problem, so I think the
Dog sloooow04 Apr 2005 04:04 GMT10
Got an 1982 Merc 300D.  Starting from a dead stop is slow - painfully
slow.  I think it could be a safety hazard in city traffic not being able
to get out of the way.
When I take it on the road - it eats mile after mile without a hickup.

1996 sl320 cannot remove hardtop  red convertible button light does  not shut of03 Apr 2005 23:08 GMT1
My 1996 SL320 has all of a sudden activated the red light button on the
console. This red light stays on continually when car is started.
Consequently, I can not remove the hard top or unlock the mechanism.
Futhermore, the roll bar, button has also sized and the alarm light under

2006 E320 4Matic vs 2006 BMW530xi03 Apr 2005 15:08 GMT9
I considering buying a new 2006 E350 4Matic or 2006 BMW 530xi. People keep
telling me that I would have less trouble with the BMW. Does anyone have any
recommendation on which one I should get?
Also, I plan on purchasing through the European delivery program and live in
Leatherique Seat Restoration03 Apr 2005 07:04 GMT18
I have a 300SD with some pretty nasty leather seats.  I an going to try
to resuscitate them with Leatherique, just to see if the stuff works
like they claim it does.
Has anyone used the stuff? Any input will be appreciated.  I would like
107 radiator03 Apr 2005 06:46 GMT6
Well, recently my 1988 560SL suffered from the typical "broken waterneck" so
often discussed in forums in the past.  Enough of the neck was still
attached to the tank to allow the hose to stay on, so I bided my time in
replacement, ordering an all-metal zeigler radiator in Jan.  My ...
Convert 240D to biodiesel03 Apr 2005 06:08 GMT23
I have done some searches and came up with lots of hits about making your
own fuel.
This is not what interests me. Biodiesel is available locally at the same
price as regular diesel and I would like to convert my 1984 240D to
