I have a 1989 190e automatic, and have only recently begun driving it
daily to work on the highway. I usually have to 'floor it' from the on
ramp to the entering lane just to build up enough speed (30mph - 60mph).
I notice that at 70mph the tachometer reads about 6000rpm. Is that ...

So...
I changed the front rubber flexi drive, the centre bearing and
carrier, and now I've swapped the whole prop for a known good 2nd hand
unit.

I have an 82 MB 300sd and it got whacked on the left wheel at about
5-10 mph when the wheel was turned to the left. Afterward the steering
wheel wasn't straight when driving straight but was turned about 30
degrees. All the linkage seems tight and the idler arm looks pretty new

didn't think it could be particularly serious, but school's just

Cranks hard but will not start. I changed distributor cap and wiring and
spark plugs. No change. Won't start in park or neutral.  Anybody has any
ideas or suggestions?

I took my 2000 C230 for an 'A' service recently.  Last year, it was in for a
'B' service.
My dash now states that my next service is a 'B' service.
Is it not supposed to be 2 'A' services for each 'B' service?

I have a small bet with a friend I need help resolving. I swear
I read somewhere about an antique (1920-ish?) Benz restoration

My stop lever all of a sudden won't shutdown my engine. The idle drops
slightly and it runs like crap, but it won't actually shutdown. This just
started all of a sudden. Linkages are fine and I even took the top end of
the linkage going to the IP off and moved it to the shutdown ...

Anyone know which Blaupunkt was installed in the 91 560sel?  Mine has
am/fm/cd, and a maze of menus.  I just want to get the manual so I can tell
what I am doing.  Why I don't know, I can't afford to drive it with fuel

Anyone have experience with the parts outfit called German Star? They
offer a number of remanufactured parts for Mercedes, advertise in The
Star. Opinions appreciated.

Rebuilt fuel distributor opinions17 Apr 2005 21:52 GMT2
The fuel distributor on my 90 300 is tired, but a new one across the
Mercedes counter is a couple thousand dollars. WAY too much. An
alternative seems to be a rebuilt one. Anyone have experience with this?
Advice appreciated.

I have a 1982 380SL with climate control. If the temp wheel is set to max
cold, the ac works and blows very cold air. If I reduce temp to anything
other than max cold, it blows hot air at all settings. Anybody know of what
might be wrong?

I have an 88 260E. Engine coolant temperature, engine oil pressure and
RPM meters died yesterday. Also a little buzz comes up any time I turn
the key to driving position. Every fuse in the fuse box looks just
fine (unless there are hidden that I know of).
