There seems to be lot of MB E/S 400 CDI cars having engine changed or
broken.
Does anyone know what kind of engine problems there are with these cars?

How much smoke is normal when the engine is in compression going downhill? I
notice smoke whenever on compression, but never at any other time. Engine is
616 in 240D.

The cruise control of my '97 C180 doesn't work suddenly. It won't store speed

While changing my fuel filter, and
the 2 copper "o" rings  replaced with it, I noticed the lower fuel pump,
outer "o"ring was also leaking (92 190e 2.6) takes 3 copper "o"rings.
