I understand that the blower motor in this car isn't much fun to
replace, so I am asking for some help to make sure the motor is bad.
1. For about two years, the fan motor would intermittently squeak.
2. For the last 3 months, it would take about 5 seconds to spin up.

Just got a letter in the mail today announcing that Mercedes admitted
that the harmonic balancers in 1998-2001 cars were flawed.
They offered to replace the flawed devices at no cost under the terms
of the recall.

Is it possible to adjust the transmission switch position so it engages
properly? I've adjusted the shift linkage to make it work but now the  shift
lever feels like it is barely in the park position, i.e. it doesn't feel
solidly in park. Car is '91 300 CE.

I have 1 '79 240d, daily driver.
Last week I hit a pot hole at about 30 mph with the passenger side rear
wheel.
Noticed an immediate rattle.

The passenger side window on my 86 300sdl makes a very
soft click when I press the button but won't go down.
There is a slight drain on power (lights dim slightly)
when window button is pressed so I know the circuit is

Its okay Paddington,they still are worthy Mercedes,but as with ANY
vehicle,they break now and then!

The check engine light came on my E300TD (94k miles) last week and my local
MB mechanic told me that the air mass meter is defective. It cost $430 to
replace ($344 for part). Is this failure common on this model? Seems like a
rather expensive part to me. Perhaps I should have bought ...

uk based 190e e-reg but abs light stays on, what causes this please

I've noticed that my SLK 320 has a slight hesitation at around 5000 rpm
under hard accelleration.
It does not appear to happen in every gear, mainly third gear I think.
Ideas anyone?

1987 300E.  On acceleration there is a vibration between 15 and 20 mph

remote control of my '97 C180 doesn't work suddenly. I have to unlock my car
with a key and the engine cab be started perfectly. What is wrong with the

On my brand new 1988 w124, the orange 'broken light' indicator comes on
intermittently. The manual says it should come on when a light is
activated and one of the bulbs is broken. None of the lights seem to be
broken however and I'm not switching anything on or off when it comes ...
