My battery light is staying on all the time. Sometimes I will try to start the car and it sounds like the battery is almost dead. Try it later and it starts. The light never goes out. This is a 300sd 1982

| Too much oil? | 13 Jun 2005 19:25 GMT | 6 |
When I send my car for servicing it always comes back with the dipstick showing FAR over filled. (Usually about 1l over, or more). Is this harmful? Otherwise I have to siphon some out - a really slow process!

| T Rated Tires | 13 Jun 2005 08:19 GMT | 4 |
I needed tires recently, and opted for the top rated tire, according to Tire Rack, the Michelin Hydro-Edge in original size 185x65x15 for my 1992 190E 2.6. Great grip, wet or dry and absolutely dead silent. One saleman present was concerned because the car was listed

I have '95 E320 (148k) and I am curious as to the correct oil pressure I should see on the gauge. Above 1000rpm pressure is pegging the needle above 3. When warm and running, the oil pressure at idle is only "1", is this correct

The odometer in my '86 190E 2.3 reads over 242,000 miles. I applied for the High Mileage Award less than 4 weeks ago and I got it yesterday. It includes the medallion and a fancy certificate. What is the highest mileage recorded in still running MBs? I suppose

| '97 E320: Diagnostic Code P0170 (generic) Question | 13 Jun 2005 00:08 GMT | 5 |
Today, on a local errand, while inching ahead in a parking lot there was a discrete beep from the dash and the "Check Engine Light" and "check engine electronics" messages came on. The 104.995 24 valve straight six starts and runs flawlessly; it's done

I have had a 2003 CLK320 Cabriolet for about 7 months; it has about 20,000 miles on it. I've had it back to the dealership 4 times now with material issues: - One time, it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear

Is there a simple way to check/ reset the timing on my car, or is it electronically set, can't find timing mark... symtoms are startup struggle to relatively smooth idle poor gas mileage, and having to floor it to get kickdown to activate, instead of merely toe

Hi Old Mercedes Afficionados, My wifes 71 250CE cut out the other day and wouldn't start despite me cleaning points etc. It seems to have good spark while turning over and will start and idle nicely every time for about two seconds and then cut

| s420 floor mat SOLUTION | 11 Jun 2005 14:59 GMT | 5 |
Those nice carpet floor mats that came in my 1999 s420 were getting to be a pain as after a while they start to bunch up and they just won't act right. I was exploring some way to stick them down, but every method I considered would most likely make a mess of the carpet underneath.
