Half the time when I unlock the 1987 300E from the passenger door, the
alarm goes off when the door is opened.  If I unlock from the driver's door
or the trunk there is never a problem.

All new control arms in the rear.  New 205/55/16 Yokohama W rated tires.

Anyone have opinion on replacement rear shocks for 1991 W126 body. My
mechanic has reported inside treadwear on rear tires, possibly due to weak
shocks. Vehicle has 232K miles and original shocks now.
