My 500 SEC will often make a clunking sound from the right rear over bumps.
Metallic sound.  Additionally, when loaded with passengers, a booming sound
can be heard from the right rear brakes, when applied.  Are these two events
related?  Rubber bushings worn?  Any clues?

The weather has turned hot ~35C.
During some days, I've noticed a very significant increase
in power and responsiveness.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks to T.G. got both fuel filters replaced, unfortunately needed to
drive asap and had to settle for Autozone filters (courtesy of
Red-White-and-Blue union labor).  Anyway, stalling problem fixed.

Does anyone other than MB Dealership have diagnostic equipment to tell me
what the Check Engine Light problem is refering to?  It came on the other
day and the only thing I have noticed is a rough idle at start up...any
suggestions on where to start and how to clear the check engine ...

After a few minutes driving the ABS light comes on and stays on. It does
not come on if the car just sits there idling, it will only come on when
driving.

I guess I angered the W123 gods today pondering buying the 560SEC I
discussed earlier!Anyways I have been dreading this chapter of W123
ownership for some time now.I knew it was going out for about 2 months
now but the time has come to change.

We are off to the UK with a car that has xenon lamps that turn in curves.
Have to dipp them somehow, will it be ok to simply put black insulation tape
on them or might that harm the glass? The car is a 2004 e-class.

I need to replace the coolant pump on my 1982 380SEL. I have all the
