98 C280, my AM reception on this as well as on my previous MB's is just

Front license mouting20 Aug 2005 12:17 GMT1
My car apparently came from a state with rear plates only.
And Ohio has a front plate as well.
In the trunk was the front plate mount frame.
But it looks to require that I screw it into the bumper.
Business Week Mercedes Cover Story20 Aug 2005 02:05 GMT12
Anyone else read it?
Does not put a good light on quality.
They are squeezing out every penny they can from their vendors (and the
consumer too with no free maintenance on new cars).
value of an extended MB warranty on a 2000 E320 with 59000k20 Aug 2005 01:55 GMT4
I am close to purchasing a 2000 E320 wagon with 59,000km (~36,000
miles) from a MB dealer in Montreal.
For 10% more than the purchase price (or $2,800 CAD / $2240 US) they
are offering a 3- year MB Extended Warranty good at any MB Dealer at
Maintenance No Longer Included on New Mercedes20 Aug 2005 01:49 GMT21
These guys are shooting themselves in the foot with this policy.
I just looked at at some new Jaguars yesterday and the salesman reminded
me of it. Every luxury car includes maintenance except Mercedes, how
arrogant.
1996 E 320 Brake Issue19 Aug 2005 22:11 GMT8
I'm having a strange thing happen with the brakes on my E320.  I back out of my garage and down my driveway.  I ride the brakes lightly as I go down the drive.  It's only mildly steep.  After about 10 feet I always feel a catch or a bump from the brakes.  It feels as if it's ...
Front Speakers on 10719 Aug 2005 18:36 GMT2
Does anyone happen to know the mounting depth on the driver's side
front speaker on the 380sl. I got a pair of MB Quart 100mm 2 ways, and
the passenger side went in fine. However, there's a metal bar inside
the driver's side speaker enclosure that prevents that one from going
Steam Cleaned Engine PROBLEM on 97 E42019 Aug 2005 14:49 GMT8
Hey Guys,
I'm in conversation with a detailing outfit that used high pressure hot
water to clean my 1997 E420 engine.
Well, a rough idle developed the same day I picked up the car.  I had a

Anyone own the repair CD for the 126.125?  Is it worth buying?

Anyone here have (or a link to) the climate codes from the 97 E320?
I found some for the 2000, but am having AC issues and would like to
figure out what's going on before taking it anywhere.
TIA,

OBD II Software Recommendation18 Aug 2005 19:28 GMT2
I have researched 2 different Windows based ODB II diagnostic solutions.
One from Auterra, Dyno-Scan for $239. The other from AutoTap for $179.
Now I never like to spend 33% more for a same-as product and thought I
should check with you to get your opinion on these products. ...
