I have been trying to solve problems with my check engine light this
entire summer.    I have a 1996 E 320 with 150,000 miles on it.  I
bought the car new in '96.    Lately, I have had a terrible time trying
to determine the cause of my check engine light coming on.  I use a
spark plug gap & torque setting16 Aug 2005 09:30 GMT4
Does anyone know what the spark plug gap and torque setting should be for a
1996 e230 ?

  I just the engine back in my 1990 300E, and there is one
wire I can't connect.  One end goes to a sensor on top of
the crankshaft pulley, which I have identified as the TDC
sensor.  There doesn't seem to be an empty socket anywhere

I just purchased a 2006 C280 w/ entertainment and navigational system.
I was told by my salesperson that for $673 plus labor I could have a
sirius radio installed on the car.
After making an appointment, confirming the parts were there, I dropped

This car was tested recently and the results were:
Battery is healthy
No drainage from battery
Alternator charging ok

if I read kelley blue book values correctly (kbb.com), then an '86 300e with excellent
body condition and no major repairs should not cost above $3000 - is this correct?
(miles about 120k)

My ABS light came on as I was driving my 1986 560sl and two blocks
later when I went to stop I found that my engine will not idle below
1500 RPM..  I feel that these two things are connected as they happened

I tracked a vacuum leak to one of the yellow hoses going into the firewall.
I thought the yellow one wase for the door locks but there are two. What is
each for?
