Both of my American cars (Tahoe and Corvette) have lights on the
underside of the hood that come on when the hood is raised (mercury
switch I suppose).  The Mercedes doesn't (2000 E320) which is very odd.

I have a '92 190E 2.3 with 170k miles.  I'm hearing a short, loud
rubbing noise from the rear of the car when starting from a stop.  It
sounds like someone is scraping the underbody of the car with a
screwdriver handle.  It happens in the first several seconds of the

The battery died the other day in my 1998 C280 which I purchased two
years ago. For the life of me I can not find any type of code that the
radio is requiring of me. I have looked around and found willingness to

Seems I'm still finding out new things with my 190e, '93.  Because of some fog
I turned on the fog lights and noticed that they can be pulled out in two
stages, all the way out a light on the switch comes on.  For the life of me
I can't notice any difference between the first stage ...

The fuel pump on my car will not consistently turn on in cold weather. How
can I be certain its the fuel pump relay or the engine temperature or
what?

I have a 98 C230.  I am thinking of putting a set of winter tires on it. Can
anyone recommend what works well??  I have heard that the Blizzak tires are
good.  Any suggestions??

Thanks for your help with previous 190e electrical fuel pump gremlins - man
arrived today and found the fault in about 5 minutes - turned out to be a
partially fried connector to my alarm/immobiliser - I'm doubtful if I'd ever

My car is 2004 E500 4MATCH with AMG SPORT PACKAGE.
I had involved in an accident today. It was snowing and I was turning
right on the snow at approx 30km/h (Down-hill). Suddently it begin to

of the W/S switch on the console.  Can anyone tell me really what this
