I have heard for some time that the SMART car (75mpg) is coming to the
US.  Then last week I heard that a dealer in Portland has started a
waiting list for the cars.
Anybody have any more information???

I had a strange incident last night driving my 81 300 SD Turbo Diesel.
While running at about 40 mph downhill on a bridge, the car started to

Hi, I am doing some minor body repair on my 1983 300d, and I need the
strip of chrome/rubber molding that runs on the passenger side front
quarter panel. Ebay hasn't been much help for the last couple of weeks
and it's a super long drive for me to the nearest junkyard with any

it takes a very long time. glo-plugs were changed. the original owner had

i recently purchased a pretty mint 190e at a car aution mostly as an
impulse buy, it was dirt cheap and this is my 1st car so i wasnt wanting
to blow a lot of cash before i had learnt to drive properly.
i should mention this is a 190e 2liter 1991 uk, in case there is any

i was changing my brake pads on my 300E 1989, and when i got to the
rear, i couldn't get the pistons to go in because they were stuck.
When i asked the NAPA guy what to do, he asked me if i had taken the
caliper off yet.  I decided to go home, and see if i could get it off,

I have problem with heaters in front leather seats.
Function button works, but only back of right passanger seat is warm.
Nothing else.

I'm looking at either fixing or replacing the OEM Hirschmann antenna in
my 1980 300SD.  Hirschmann makes a direct replacement, unfortunately
they are $190.  Hirschmann also makes a univeral one that is supposed
to fit many MB's and it goes for $50.

I have C200K Estate, 2005 UK model with bi-xenon headlamps and the
cornering light function which activates the appropriate fog-lamp when
cornering at slow speeds.  Twice now, Mr Plod has stopped me and asked
why I have one fog lamp switched on after they saw me driving slowly

I have a 1987 300D.  I've had the car for just a few months.
I had a trusted mechanic go over the car and find/fix a couple of
vacuum leaks and fuse block short.  The car is running great.
As I'm new to this car the transmission shift points are very strange
