My 1992 300D 2.5L turbodiesel just crossed 200,000 miles today and looks
absolutely beautiful.
Just thought I'd let everyone know. I even have an AVI of the odometer
rolling over to 200k. :)

My check engine light just came on without warning. Car has been recently
serviced. What could be going on?

any suggestions in terms of where I can get one at what price?

Does anyone have an opinion about covering my cracked 1984 dash with a
Dashtop? They look like a pretty good solution. Anyone have one
installed for a while and can commenton it's appearance after a few
years?

Is it advisable to replace a 4cyc diesel engine with a 5cyc turbo diesel for
added power?  My vehicle is a 1975 240D and is excellent condition.  The
engine has just quit on me and I thought it would be nice to step up to a
more powerful engine while I was replacing it.

I have a 84 380SL and the odometer quit working. I know I have to remove the
whole assembly and send it off to a repair shop, but my question is how do I
lower the steering wheel without setting off the air bag?

Just bought the car. Engine runs fine. Did tune-up the first thing.
Replaced plugs, wires, rotor and cap and fuel filter. Engines starts fine
but every once in a while, it just looses all power if I am at idle after
coming to a stop or while coasting with foot off of accelerator. ...

Re: its a 1985 300 SD. The temp went down to about 45 overnight, and
in the morning it took a long time to start... when in warm weather it
starts instantly. Just last year I think I replaced 4 of the five
glo-plugs myself, and paid a mechanic to replace the one in the rear.
