Recently bought a C250 diesel. When starting the car gp light is off. it switches on after a couple of minutes when the ignition is on. is this a major problem. any help is appreciated.

Until recently, my 1988 260E rarely hovered above 80 degrees on the temp gauge. But in recent months, I've noticed it pick up to 85, 95 when the car has been sitting in traffic. It cools right down once I'm cruising again.

I have a 1993 190E 2.3L and the cabin does not get very hot even with the dial set all the way to full heat. The auxiliary water pump, monovalve and thernostat were all changed and the problem is still there. I have forward/reverse flushed the heater box and the problem

For the very first time in some 60 years of driving, I ran out of fuel yesterday. Der Klunker ('81 300SD) suddenly started sputtering and stumbled to a halt, luckily in a parking lot. Opened the hood. Sure enough, no fuel in the sight glass. A couple of kind gentlemen helped me

Merry Christmas one and all .... I find myself driving my 190E in snow lately and it is truly abyssmal .... I've added some salt sacks in the rear seat which does help, but still, our Cavalier drives circles around it. I do notice that my 300E actually fares quite a bit better than ...

Diagnostic codes are needed to troubleshoot problems as cars get more complex. Unfortunately auto manufacturers take the position that diagnostic codes are proprietary and only their dealers may have access to codes' meanings.
