How long should take a professional with the right tools and expertise
to replace a lower ball joint to an S500 year 2000? I know that the
part is not expensive but I have been getting quotes all over the map
depending on labor cost.

Just got four brand new tires for the 300E.  Went from Michelins to
Yokohamas. Same thing happens with these...if I have to make a sudden
stop (say, 40mph to a quick stop), the brakes perform OK but geez the
tires make a very loud humming noise as the car slows down. Normal?

When replacing the battery for my wifes car , i decided to renew my own
also , I followed the instructions provided in the manual i.e removed
the manual key element , prised of battery tray and replaced the two
battterys with positive facing upwards.

Hi, I recently bought a 2003 E320 and I am also into  
DIY projects to save a few bucks.  I have done alot of car work on
american cars in particular '96 Crown Vic.  I normally jack up my Crown
Vic right in the middle of the cross member.  In this car there was an

Well I cut the catalytic converter with a recipricating saw and cut it
open.  It is all black in side with broken pieces in it.  On each ends
where the daul pipes are there is also debris.  For starters I am just
going to bypass the cat and secure the O2 Sensor.  If the 02 sensor is ...

on my 95 E320 check engine light came on with the follow codes set:
- EGR, which I understand indicates a clogged EGR tube
- transmission up shift delay - not sure what this means or what causes it
can any one validate my assumption on the EGR and demystify the up shift
