I have been test-driving some slks and a bunch of other behicles lately.
when i test-drove a chrysler crossfire and mentioned the slk he told me that
both cars have almost identical parts, including the engine.  I found this a
little hard to believe but apparently they are built in ...

    The car came from the garage and now I need the code to turn on the
radio which I don't have.

I have a 1982 CDT w/ 240k miles that ran & drove strong until about a
month ago, when the tranny began to slip when taking off in  "L".
It continued accellerate from a stationary in "2" & "D" until it began
slipping in these gears 2 days ago.  Now it will only move in "R".

This is my question.
Is there a trick to replace the last two glow plugs on a Mercedes Benz
turbo diesel?
These last two plugs are very difficult to reach at best!

How stiff should the rubber mount be? Every thing looks intact but it
is easier to deflect the shaft than I thought it would be. I can move
the drive shaft about 1/2 inch with by pushing by hand with say 15 to
