I've just bought a 1990 560 SEC which is in need of some TLC.
I'm under no illusions that this is going to be anything other than a money
pit, but I've wanted one for 20 years and this particular one came along. It
was the right colour (Black), the right interior (Beige Leather) ...

A friend has just acquired an excellent 1978 280 SE.  She's got a new
Kenwood CD/stereo for it, which requires a "harness" to get all the wires
into the right slots.....  But, the wires we have coming out of the cavity
in the dash don't match any of the colours given in the Kenwood ...

Hi all....now I've got the throttle linkage sorted on my '91 190E (1800
manual, UK car), I've noticed another problem!
When driving over 70mph, I feel a fair bit of vibration through the car -
most noticeable through the steering wheel, but the whole car is juddering.

Just to update those who assisted me with my intermittent start

I pulled the fuel relay and got the cover off in no time. I almost

   I know in US we have switched to very low sulfur fuel... I think... I
remember we had a fiasco when we did that long ago and all fuel lines

Hey gang,
I'm wondering if I should attempt to fix/replace the  steering gearbox
on my 1987 300d.
First a bit of history:

in a leaner mode. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, accumulator,
plugs and the o2 sensor.  Keep in mind that I did replace the OVP relay

i own a 1979 300td 150,000 miles after taking a drive down the road at
75mph for a any amount of time and come to a stop the temp. goes up

My 1986 560SL will run after the key has been turned to off. Turning
the key off and on  has no effect on killing the engine or shutting
down the instruments.  After a while the car will die on its own and

1) after 3 months of waiting I finally got the replacement Catalytic
converter. But only after discussions with MB abou the time lag. Seems
they pushed by request to the front of the queue!!!!! (dealer charges
$1,500.00 to put in ONE new unit and each SUV has two.
