I have a C220CDI (1999) with 121000 on the clock.
I have noticed recently that in the mornings (when cold) on first start

Mercedes Maintenance Contracts14 Apr 2006 15:40 GMT6

220SEb smoker14 Apr 2006 09:38 GMT3
I recently bought a '61 220SE coupe w/2 plunger and in the process of trying
to get it to run smoothly. It belches continuous whitish smoke with
occassional black soot upon startup but gradually thins out (still
continuous) as the engine heats up. When really hot, the engine ...
Should I do it myself?13 Apr 2006 18:14 GMT2
I need straight, realistic advice.  The 2.6 engine in my 1993 190E
Sportline is shot--at least two bearings burned.
I'm going to keep the car--even at 110,000 miles, it's near perfect in
every other respect, and there's nothing else I like as much.  Also, it
My car is STILL in DRIVE 82 300d turbo13 Apr 2006 18:11 GMT1
So last night I pull into my driveway and stop. I put the car in park
(its an automatic). I start closing my sunroof and to my surprise the
car starts moving forward when I move my foot from the brake. WOW! I
realise that there is nothing BUT play in the auto shifter stick.

accurate records of the car in the provided and additional MB Maint.
Booklets. Pretty Cool. It even has the original first aid kit in the

I'm seriously considering replacing my wife's '81 240D with a C240 and am
wondering if there's anything I should be aware of regarding this model.
We've looked at some at dealers and they all appear to be in like new
condition at 40k to 55k. Would like to hear from some experts. ...

Now, I'm not a professional mechanic, though I play one on TV, but
this is a new one:
'81 TD. Master cylinder replacement. Done more than my share of them
on other cars. Never had a problem.
1991 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 4 Dr 300E 4MATIC AWD Sedan  - Opinions12 Apr 2006 03:20 GMT2
I have a opportunity to get a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 4 Dr 300E

down falls of the AWD system or other systems This particular car has
a history of being hard to start, seems to have had an electrical
