Opinion sought15 Jun 2006 17:58 GMT90
I am looking for a car for my wife (baby on the way and my wife's 91
Ford escort won't cut in anymore)
I have been looking at 1987 - 90 MB 300D cars. There are a few available
with 135K Km (Japanese imports) for around $11K CAD. Alternatively I
Diesel Secret?15 Jun 2006 17:52 GMT18
I found this website for a fuel additive call Diesel Secret
(www.dieselsecret.com) The company claims that you just add the additive to
the vegetable oil and it produces usable fuel. Has anybody had experience
with this working?
Hydraulic fluid for CLK55 cabriolet roof...15 Jun 2006 17:19 GMT3
I wonder if you can help me?  I'm trying to find out where to get some
hydraulic fluid for my W209 cabriolet roof.  It leaks very slowly and the
garage can't find the fault.  It's just a whole lot easier to top it up
myself if only I could find out what to use...

I bought this car mid of last year from car dealer, When i first ride on

St. Louis Mechanic? Dead 450slc15 Jun 2006 01:21 GMT3
I'm in St. Louis and need a MBZ mechanic or at least one who can
service a Bosch K-Jetronic system.   I know and like GLB Motor Works,
but they can't get me in until Wednesday (should have been a Benz
mechanic instead of getting a doctorate!).
95 e320 wagon climate control failure14 Jun 2006 17:16 GMT3
The climate control system on my 95 e320 wagon has given up or at least
it did today as it also did a week ago.  The blower has ceased to
function, but on an intermittent basis.  Originally thought it was a
fuse that had blown, but in checking them, they seem fine.  The
2000 S Air Filters14 Jun 2006 03:48 GMT1
How do you get to the air filters?  I was able to take off the front shroud,
but the one covering the air cleaner chambers seems solid.
Thanks

Country Stickers: Where To Get Them?14 Jun 2006 01:52 GMT26
You know those oval, white stickers that have one-
to three-letter abbreviations for countries on them?
D for Germany, S for Sweden, and all that?  Where do
people get them?  Is there an online source?
Stolen original cd13 Jun 2006 13:25 GMT1
I have an AIW 8500 128meg car. I know its a dinosaur but it suites me well
enough. Recently some punk broke into my truck and stole my cd case thinking
it was my collection of 70-80 rock music but it wasn't. It was all of my
software including the original cd to my video card.
300E Flooding Out when running13 Jun 2006 07:52 GMT26
I know I posted here several times before...I have replaced many parts to
this car and still cant figure out why the car keeps flooding out on me.
I am 100% sure it is flooding out after a few minutes of running.  The car
is fine on a cold start but cuts out after a few minutes.  ...
300D Hard Starting When Hot13 Jun 2006 07:37 GMT2
My '91 300D 2.5 has become noticeably harder to start
when the engine is warm.  It eventually starts, but
it cranks for a lot longer than it used to before the
engine lights off.
Changing Glowplugs13 Jun 2006 04:12 GMT3
Hi, it looks like you have the same or similar model that I have. How
difficult is it to change the glowplugs? It looks like they are covered by a
piece of plastic shroud on top of the engine but I am not sure how exactly
to get to them and the manual is no help. Can you help me?
petrol 320e running costs12 Jun 2006 21:32 GMT6
I've seen a very nice petrol 320e 7 seat estate, leather and all the toys,
with 73k on the clock, full s/h etc etc and am very tempted.
However, I do a lot of short jouneys - school run etc etc and wonder whether
this will kill the car pretty quickly. The space would be great for ...
300E radiator fan removal12 Jun 2006 12:47 GMT4
The radiator fan pulley on my '89 300E just split in half so I'm getting
ready to replace it but I was wondering if anyone could give me a heads-up
on how best to remove the fan so that I can get to the pulley.
I see that there is a hex bolt in the middle but there also appears to ...

Apparently they were doing 140 km/h when they hit the trees, no survivors.
Looks like the remains of a w140 to me.
