This article states the E has Bluetec and the GL does not.
Why is that since without Bluetec they cannot sell the car in 5 USA

All this talk about bio diesel (not readily available in my area) got me
wandering. Has anyone used a mixture of straight veggie oil and diesel? if

well yesterday was the acid test...  115 degrees outside,  running my
wife around all afternoon and cool in the car!!!   eng temp never went
above 90-95 cent.  and vent air was 45 degree f best,  about 50+ worst.

On a 1984 300SD, when turning right, the driver's side front emits a
strange grinding type noise.  The noise sounds kind of like the tread of
the tire is rubbing against something.  As far as I can tell, it's not.
The vehicle is most likely in need of replacement motor mounts

I have an awsome 1983 300SD with 200k.  About a month ago I drove 20 miles in
100 degree heat, turned off the engine and ten minutes later it wouldnt start.
No sound or turning of any kind.  I replaced the ignition control module and
the glow plugs and everything seemed fine.  Then ...

Approx 75k miles, good shape. How reliable is this model year and what major
maintenance items (cost?) can I expect? I can get it for $3,000 but I'm
concerned one or 2 repairs may well cost that much.
