baby seat transponder08 Jul 2006 18:29 GMT6
On the one hand I applaud MB for finding a solution to forgetting to
turn off the airbag when a baby seat is put on the front passenger seat
by using a special car seat with a transponder that tells the car to
turn off the airbag.
116 Idler arm replacement question08 Jul 2006 07:01 GMT12
The 116's idler arm needs new bushings - thanks to some gorilla in an

I bought the repair kit and have been procrastinating - busy, too cold,

I'll be looking at a 1972 350 SL "project" car tomorrow.
Any suggestions of what things I should watch out for?
Were there any problem areas like rust in specific places?
Its been sitting for 4 years, and has not been run in that time.

and they said no.
Make sense?  What if I don't replace it?  (check engine light is on).

Went on a road trip last weekend, and after driving down a steep
canyon, my car became LOUD! Really only at idle speeds, when I speed up
it's much better. But the whole car now *shakes and is incredibly
*loud. Perhaps a coincidence this happened after I put stress on the

wheels...does wheel cleaner or tire polish cause brake dust to cake inside
the caliper?
