| Towing point SLK | 07 Aug 2006 22:03 GMT | 8 |
On my 2001 SLK, there is a very obvious towing point (bracklet, loop, eye, circle? (I dont' know what to call it)) at the rear of the car and I understand that there is a similar towing point at the front of the car perhaps behind the grill someplace.

I have a 1978 300D, with an automatic trans and roughly 148K miles (odometer doesn't always work). The car was recently purchased and unfortunately I didn't get much in terms of its history. Sometimes when downshifting I hear a soft metallic "click" going from

| Auxilary fan (electric) W202 C200 | 05 Aug 2006 17:52 GMT | 4 |
The fan starts from the moment you switch the car's ignition on. The coolant level light also stays on even if I disconnect the plug from the coolant fillertank's sensor. Is there a relay for the fan?

| Mercedes-approved tires? | 04 Aug 2006 15:14 GMT | 7 |
I am about to replace the tires on my 2002 C320 Wagon and I have researched a number of options, in addition to simply replacing the mediocre Contis. However, since this vehicle is leased from MBUSA, I want to be sure

| Second gear shift on R107 | 03 Aug 2006 17:18 GMT | 3 |
I was just curious if my car was supposed to do this, or if something is wrong. It doesn't sound normal to me though. The car in question is a 1982 euro 500SL. If I have the gas pedal floored while the car is in second gear, when the car reaches redline, it doesn't just shift to

What are the overall dimensional differences between the 190E and 300E. I saw the two close by the other day and they look not to be too different in length and width. Anyone have the stats on these two cars?

I don't know why I like this car so much but I do, it's a love hate relationship. I have been beating the problems out of this car one at a time and now when I think I am at the end of any thing else that could go wrong I find that I have no AC. The R12 is all gone suddenly

Is anyone familiar with the fuel octane adjustment on the dual Solex carburettors for the six cylinder. It is an adjustment knob just right of the choke and only turns approximately 180 degrees. I suspect it fine tunes the rich/lean mixture but I've not found any specific ...
