300sd oil change overfill?01 Aug 2006 21:47 GMT3
Changed the oil and filter today, drained it for 30 mins, put 8 qts
rotella and now find it is slightly overfilled.  About a quarter of an
inch higher than dipstick top mark.  should I drain a quart or so out?
Or leave it alone.  Its got 107k miles on it and oil has been regularly

hello, i have a 1982 300SD...all the dash lights are out and i've been
told i need a new electrical switch under the steering column...where
can i find that part? Do i have to get it from the MB dealer or can i
use a generic part? How much should it cost?

Hey Guys and Gals,
   I was thinking... if vegetable oil really cleans out the fuel system as
when someone converts to WVO.... what if I simply dump 1 gallon of cheap new
cooking oil into the tank... nearly full... to use as a diesel fuel system

Thanks for the post by Tiger. I tried to loosen  the base screw and it
broke from the top!! Now I need to remove the treaded part which is
inside the assembly. Any suggestions? thanks.

In the last 5 oil changes the used oil was extracted with a manual pump, by
the oil cap on top of the engine. They did it that way because the bottom
drain plug head was rounded. I didn´t know it until I saw them during the
last change.

I have a part that is leaking diesel on a 1985 300D (w123),
Here is a picture; the part is right off the fuel injector pump, arrows
