( 540 NM from a 3 liter CDI seems much higher than non Bluetec CDI

Hi, the lights in the instrument cluster on my 1987 W126 300SE do not
seem to work, neither does the light that would normally illuminate the
gear lever. The reostat makes no difference and there is a warning lamp
on the dash for a burned out bulb. I think that the light is telling ...

I have a 1983 300D Turbodiesel.
Very loud noise comes from rear axles time to time.
Does anybody comment on the noise?
My mechanic (not a MB mechanic) thinks that I need two rear axles.

My 94 e420 is still reving up at around 1400 rpms in park?   I am
getting code #6.  Is there anything (sensor,module,idle control
valve,etc?) that may control this?   I have cleaned out the throttle
body(dk motor) to see it if made a difference and it is squeaky clean

for the ignition/door key for an older model benz? 1987 260E to be
exact.  How much do the dealers usually charge if you have to go there
and get a nother key made (worse case scenario)

I recently bought a 83 300SD with 194k, and when the transmission downshifts
into 2nd it makes clunk.  The transmission is fine , and i have been told its
a bushinf of some kind.  Do you know what this could be?

Hello all.  I recently purchased a 1987 300TD (~230K).  It is my first
MB.  I have always loved these cars, and kind of stumbled onto this one
and it seemed to be a good deal.  From what I have read in this group,
this vintage is a good one to have.

There are several reports on Benzworld.org of 2004 CLKs with cracked
lenses on the central brake light that is mounted on the trunk.  Some
owners have managed to get it fixed under warranty by MB.  Others have
not.

i just bought another td.  1984.  turbo $500.00  nice car with a
slipping tranny.  no prob on highway, but need lots of rpm's before it
'grabs'  don't know anything about tranny's, but seems like it just
doesn't get 'pressure' without the r's, like a bad pump or something.
