Pockmarked Windshield15 Sep 2006 07:44 GMT11
I am on my second windshield - and might need to replace it for the same reason
as I replaced the first - little pockmarks, pretty much evenly distributed over
the outside surface of the glass. I don't know what caused them, and wondered
if anyone in the group does. I'd ...

I have a 1990 Mercedes 300E.  Have 225000 km. I changed spark plugs,
dist. cap. rotors, ignition wires, cleaned air filter, put in injector
cleaner and drove the car for over 300 km.
Checked vaccum lines best I could. Engine light does not come on. I
95 420E runs hot15 Sep 2006 03:42 GMT2
My 95 420E has 82K miles and runs hot in traffic.  I suspect a bad
radiator or a bad fan clutch.  Does anyone had the same problem or do
you have any helpful comments?   Thanks

I am trying to remove the Automatic Climate Control Panel in my 300D

trying to remove has a temp control wheel on the left side. The wood

Help!  I have water leaks under the dash in my 380sl. I have taken the fresh

drain tube coming from this area but I can't locate it. Any help would be
appreciated.

After ignitig it catches about 1200 rpm, then lowers to about 1000, then
C230 wiper problem14 Sep 2006 02:21 GMT3
The windshield wiper on my wife's '97 C-230 has begun to start up on it's
own every once in a while.  I'm afraid that it may be hard to diagnose since
the  problem is so intermittent.  Just wondered if anyone has encountered
this problem before.

Does anyone know the resistance ratings for sparkplug wires for a 1994
e420 either by foot or wire??  I am wanting to use my multimeters to

thousand ohms per foot sounds familiar??  Thanks:)
MB reliability12 Sep 2006 22:02 GMT30
In the 1990s, Mercedes-Benz had a classic car commercial.
A husband arrives home late and tells his wife, "My car broke down." The
wife slaps him in the face. She does not believe her husband's Mercedes
could break down.
2006 or 2007 Diesel E 325? Or VW Passat Diesel?12 Sep 2006 02:56 GMT8
Is it worth to wait for the 2007 model, around $56 K MSRP vs. a 2006 $50 K
discounted model?
Neither is yet OK in CA. and in 3 or 4 other states and a few more HP and
Blue Tooth tel. are not worth $5K, I guess.
New w124 & w123 anyone?11 Sep 2006 09:42 GMT2
Yeah, I know the doubts some of you have about buying extreme low
mileage cars, but for a collector these could be quite a deal at 20,000
EUR each. You know what they say, when buying a classic get the best you
can buy ;)
