seems my wife being ever practical appears to like this model the most. On the positive side, if I must have an automatic, then at least this model has one of the continuously variable one.... that's got to help on consumption. I'm wondering though if the turbo is even worthwhile ...

The transmission fluid on my 230E W124 with 145.000 km, has never been changed. MB's ATF costs USD 33 a quarter gallon, at the dealer. Is it too much?

Engine turns over but doesn't start, then blue smoke exhausts out the air intake. I've never seen this happen before. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
