The "rain sensing" wipers on my 2000 S430 sometimes (but not always) run on
at regular speed even when there is little or no rain to sense.  Result is
much squonking.  (Blades are new.)
Is there some adjustment for this, or some sensor I should clean?

I'm trying to locate a cover for the rear window mounted stop light, the
original had never been removed, when I changed the bulb the original broke
into many pieces. The dealer will only sell the whole assembly for $50. If
anyone knows where I could find one that would be great.

I'm driving my 82 y/o father's '86 300e for a couple weeks. 170k mi.
The car runs / rides great except it has one serious safety issue.
After starting and pulling away (ie pulling out of drive way) , the car
has almost no brakes. I'm 6', 220 lb and pressing hard on the peddle

I needed a windshield for my 77 450SL and pulled one from a 81 380SLC,
thinking that they are both w107's and should interchange.  Well I
placed the window on the SL and they look to be way off size wise (but
only put little effort into fitting.)

The rear right window on my 99 E300TD made a strange sound as I was lowering
it yesterday and quit working, halfway down. I had to manually pull it up
shut. Is this a common problem? Hope it is not an expensive fix?
