i have a ’75 450se that sputters and once in awhile will just die. Tried to restart but no go. Had to have it towed to a mechanic, and he told me that the points in the distributor had fused together. He cleaned them and adjusted the timing and the car ran great for 3 days.

| No acceleration Position sensor | 19 Dec 2006 02:14 GMT | 9 |
... continuing trouble shooting of why my '89 sometimes just cuts out. Then accelerates perfectly again. I'd like to check my crankshaft position sensor as 'one' possible reason for this. Where the heck is it exactly? Hate crawling around under the car in winter.

| FUEL: Premium or Reg. 1992 300E 112,000 mi.? | 17 Dec 2006 23:59 GMT | 2 |
Premium is recommended for this vehicle. I keep the car the best I can with regular oil change every 3,000 mile and it is in excellent shape. So should I mess with regular gas....Premium cost a fortune! Frank in California
