Have a 97 C-230, when I start the engine the coolant fan comes on and
stays on and the temperature hand will not work .

I'm in a bit of a quandary. I have an '81 300TD wagon. Mechanically
it's in very nice shape. Reliable, fun to drive, starts well, etc.
But, it's a rust bucket. Every time I open something up or remove a
panel, there is more rust-much of it right through the metal. The

My heater has stopped working altogether. at first it would come on
after driving for awhile. now has stopped altogetther. I have changed
the blower/motor.worked for a few days and then stopped . I have had

Hello all, I have a 1993 190E 2.3L. The heat seems fine at the lower
speeds, but at the highway speeds it seems highly inadequate. The
ambient temperatures are in the mid 30s Fahrenheit. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

My '93 300 E makes a high pitched whining noise or squeal at startup
and goes away after it warms up.  Sometimes it goes away after 10
seconds, sometimes it takes a minute and sometimes it doesn't squeal at
all.

The guy I bought my SDL from replaced the car's original
Becker Grand Prix radio with an aftermarket Alpine unit
(gotta have that CD player).  Fortunately, he gave me the
Becker when I bought the car.  I despise the Alpine and

After a disaster with the timing chain jumping a few teets on the cam
sprocket, I have replaced the chain, the chain guiders, four exhaust
valves, etc. on my 1981 380SE (an European version with double chain).
Now, how to I know if the chain tensioner also needs to be replaced?

I have been looking at this model and would like any input anyone would

that actually I can to do this test myself - what I need is a software
and some adapter that will connect my car to PC, and I plan to do this

I was informed by the folks at Crutchfield.com that none of the speakers they stock will fit my
1993 300E. I was surprised as they have a pretty sophisticated knowledge of which speakers
will fit which cars and, obviously, have an incentive to sell product.
