Just noticed that the license plate lights stay on even after you turn the ingnition off (and take the key out). Aren't these supposed to be wired to the curcuit for the lights? The only other work that was recently done was a new radio install, but I don't think that has

Just got a 1990 300E 2.6 with 170k on it, and it has problems starting after it has sat for more then 4 hours. So far my friends and I have come up with maybe the fuel pump is losing its prime and needs to be replaced. Does this sound correct?

not sure on this one, but someone might help.have a 300e w124 with the m103 motor. starts great when stone cold, but once when warm it stills starts but with greater starter time, and when it fires it runns fine for a second then dips in the revs only just to recover the idle ...

When replacing my old oxygen sensor how many wires are there to reconect? I'm guessing the single black 'bullet' connector is the sensor signal and the 2 wire connector jack is for the heater to the sensor. The car is a '89 300E Do I then splice in the new sensor or is it best to ...

I've just purchased a 1999 CLK 320 (140,000 kms). The MB dealership is doing an inspection, and told me the spark plug wires are frayed, and arcing (which may explain why the engine's in limp-home-mode at the moment). They quoted me C$650 for a replacement set (!) which

Hi I would like to start making Bio-Diesel out of WVO and run my 1991 W124 300TDT on bio. First off is anyone from this group doing this with this car? (it is the 6cyl Turbo engine). If so, what modifications were necessary? Further what issues does one need to look out for?

1979 Mercedes 300 SD. The engine would idle rough (but good) and would run fine. During about a 1 hour period, the car hesitated a few times (semi dying) but then would go right back to running fine. It then really started to "bog" down untill it finally stalled.

So I got my thermostat changed today, but in so doing I looked all over for the drain to the radiator and couldn't find a proper one anywhere. I pondered jacking it up, but then didn't want the hassle, but still I ended up with a question for you all.
