| W123 230 CE Front Seat Removal | 11 Apr 2007 16:49 GMT | 1 |
I need to remove the seats for cleaning and repair. The two front bolts are easy to get to. The two on the back look like they come up from the bottom and there is no way to access the head. Any suggestions? Thanks, Scott

| W124 Bulb warning light | 11 Apr 2007 07:04 GMT | 4 |
Had a headlight bulb go last week, replaced it but the warning light on the dashboard still comes on. All the lights work, I can't find anything that's not lighting up, anyone seen that before? It's not a big deal but it's a little irritating.

| Engine Weight | 11 Apr 2007 03:52 GMT | 10 |
I am planning to put a GM 3800 engine into my 230 CE w123 chassis car which has a bad engine. I am concerned about the weight balance. What is the weight of it's 102.980 engine? This is pretty much the same as the 190 E's 102.981 engine.

1999 ML 320: On March 1st I backed out of garage and started forward and it died - tried to restart - no starter noise - nothing. Hauled to mechanic who put it on a lift and it came back to life (took about 5 hours from time it happened till I got it to mechanic). On March

While driving, when I accellerate or deaccellerate, the entire car body lurches, or you could say heaves, up and around. It happens more dramtically when the car is loaded and at highway speeds, and at shift points. I have had the supension examined and have been told no

my 118k 91 560SEL is in need of the new chain. Any good info out there? And whats the fav vendor of the group to buy from? Years ago I help change a 380sl to a double row unit. A clip was used to hold the chain together, no it requires a tool. I will look for a

| Glow Plug Light Stays Off | 08 Apr 2007 07:47 GMT | 4 |
When I try to start my 1983 300 TDT, the glow plug timer light does not illuminate. When I unplug the glow plug wires from the timer, it lights. I've tried to check the glow plugs, and all of them seem to register 0 ohms. I think they should be about 200 ohms, but don't

| 96 E300 Serpentine belt | 07 Apr 2007 21:30 GMT | 1 |
I had my alternator apparently sieze up and subsequently shear apart into two pieces with the back half ending up bouncing down the street while hanging from the electrical connections. (My middle body panel is missing.

| 300SL - $4000 - Too Much? | 05 Apr 2007 22:17 GMT | 11 |
Old guy wants $4000 for this thing. I don't know. Those stupid looking doors look like a pain in the butt, and it might need a paint job sooner than later. I hate to spend that kind of money on a 60 year old beater, but it is kind

My 617 engine, a transplant, in my 1981 300SD idles too fast. Should be 800-900 RPM but seems more like 1,500 (tach not working). Sometimes in neutral or park it will start to run away. Mechanic told me adjusting the idle speed is not a simple matter. You

I have a 1996 Mercedes S320. I also go abroad several times a year for 2 months at a time. In January I decided to disconnect the battery (in the boot) to save it running down whilst I was away. However as soon as I took the terminal off the battery an alarm went off under the

| 99 E300TD and biodiesel | 05 Apr 2007 16:58 GMT | 2 |
Has anyone tried using biodiesel in their 199x E300TD? I'm reading that the older models could put any type of sifted oil in the tank and run it, including used cooking oil. But what about the later models? I know I have to change the Viton "o" rings and the fuel hose. Is there ...
