I an preparing to convert a 190E with a Nippondenso A/C compressor to R134. I don't see a drain plug to get the old oil out. What is the best way to drain it? I am thinking of replacing the shaft seal. Is this much of a job? Is there

| Dexcool coolant warning | 26 May 2007 22:51 GMT | 10 |
After learning that silicates (powdered quartz) in coolant kill Honda bike waterpumps, I have been running Dexcool in all my vehicles, not wanting to spend $30 for Hondaline pre-mix once a year. I didn't think too much about it when my VW diesel blew a headgasket last

| 1986 300SDL Good for WVO? | 24 May 2007 04:10 GMT | 8 |
I have a 1986 SDL that I just bought. It is very clean and comfy...she reads 275 and is stuck there. The seller estimates it has near 300. The whole reason I wanted a MB diesel (other than the craftmanship and quality) was to convert it to use wvo.

| Automatic antenna; '79 W123 | 23 May 2007 22:50 GMT | 3 |
So last night I replaced the completely-frozen antenna on my car with a fancy new $15 one from Autohaus. Excellent! Thing is, I'm not sure that it's adjusted right. It seems to pull pretty hard at the end, like once it's down, the switch/spinner thingy

| low brake pedal | 23 May 2007 05:26 GMT | 1 |
I have a low brake pedal but the pads on all four wheel appear very good (changed about 10k miles ago). Park pedal is also low. Did a test with the Park pedal lightly engaged and it did not raise noticeably the brake pedal on a stop. Oh, fluid level has been normal with no need to ...

| 190E Oil Pan Gasket | 22 May 2007 19:16 GMT | 1 |
I'll be attaching the oil pan to the block this weekend. The factory manual makes no mention of using sealer with the gasket. The gasket when removed had a green sealer on the pan side only that was difficult to clean off. What should I use on my parts? On one side or both sides of ...
