I just bought a C220 CDI with an Automatic TRansmission (Automatic Gear
Shift), and I would like to receive your opinion on the usage of such
transmission.
A dear friend suggested me to keep the brake pedal while standing at traffic

drain it?

240d seats question28 May 2007 03:56 GMT2
I have a '79 mb 240d.
The driver seat is sagging, and needs to be worked on.
The passenger seat is quite firm and high.
Can I easily replace the driver seat with the passenger seat?
Dexcool coolant warning26 May 2007 22:51 GMT10
After learning that silicates (powdered quartz) in coolant kill Honda bike
waterpumps, I have been running Dexcool in all my vehicles, not wanting to
spend $30 for Hondaline pre-mix once a year.
I didn't think too much about it when my VW diesel blew a headgasket last
Warning light - ETS EL. Traction Support26 May 2007 15:51 GMT4
I have a 1996 Mercedes E300D & have the following warning light displayed:
"ETS EL. Traction Support"
Sometimes when this comes on, the speedometer stops working, sometimes
not.  Also, it seems less likely to happen early in the morning when it

30 year-old foam is no longer supple ('79 W123 ACCII temp sensor)25 May 2007 13:50 GMT7
So today I finally pulled the front speakers out of my car.  The
previous owners had blown them, and I was sick of them rattling so out
they came.
Driver's side was a snap, besides the fact that the screws are like
W140 tow hook cover24 May 2007 15:39 GMT2
Any suggestions for the best source for a replacement on a 1997
black-on-black S320? The dealer is way too proud ($$$) of these little
babies!

1986 300SDL Good for WVO?24 May 2007 04:10 GMT8
I have a 1986 SDL that I just bought.  It is very clean and
comfy...she reads 275 and is stuck there.  The seller estimates it has
near 300.  The whole reason I wanted a MB diesel (other than the
craftmanship and quality) was to convert it to use wvo.
Automatic antenna; '79 W12323 May 2007 22:50 GMT3
So last night I replaced the completely-frozen antenna on my car with a
fancy new $15 one from Autohaus.  Excellent!
Thing is, I'm not sure that it's adjusted right.  It seems to pull
pretty hard at the end, like once it's down, the switch/spinner thingy
1997 E320 PO170 error code23 May 2007 22:29 GMT4
I was wondering if you could give me your opinion about a car issue I am
having. My 1997 E320 with 95k, is having a PO170 error code. It first came
on a couple weeks ago and I had my mechanic look at it.
PO170 corresponds to "Fuel Trim 1" and there are a list of things this could
W203 "C" Class 220 CDI Advantgarde UK23 May 2007 18:05 GMT3
Hi have any of you experienced week rear or broken springs on this or

with only 45,000 miles on the clock.  The first was renewed Aug 05 on

A good summary of the 12 best and worst green vehicles.

In the best list it's all Asian makes.  Most here know who they are!
In the worst Mercedes has 4 places and Chrysler has 2, giving DC 50% of
low brake pedal23 May 2007 05:26 GMT1
I have a low brake pedal but the pads on all four wheel appear very good
(changed about 10k miles ago).  Park pedal is also low.  Did a test with the
Park pedal lightly engaged and it did not raise noticeably the brake pedal
on a stop. Oh, fluid level has been normal with no need to ...
190E Oil Pan Gasket22 May 2007 19:16 GMT1
I'll be attaching the oil pan to the block this weekend. The factory manual
makes no mention of using sealer with the gasket. The gasket when removed
had a green sealer on the pan side only that was difficult to clean off.
What should I use on my parts? On one side or both sides of ...
