1998 ML320 - AC Electrical Issue?22 May 2007 16:11 GMT8
We bought our 1998 ML320 about 4+ years ago. Had it's issues, but what
used vehicle doesn't. Currently we have these set of issues:
1. Heated seats stopped working a long time ago (oh well)
2. Rear wiper just clicks (according to one group member here it's a
1999 E300TD  any good?22 May 2007 16:07 GMT12
I'm about to go look at one of these.  Love the idea of the car still
having a inline engine... turbo is nice.  Any caveats that I'm not aware of?
What should I be paying for this car roughly??

How to remove rear seat backrest in 1980 MB 240D?22 May 2007 14:25 GMT8
My Dad called me on the phone to say he locked his only trunk key in the
trunk.  He and my sister have been trying, without success, to remove the
rear seat backrest, so that someone might enter the trunk through the
passenger compartment.  The seat cushion has been removed.

My friend has a 1986 Mercedes which is blowing white smoke from the
tailpipe - mechanic gave him a price of $1000 to replace head gasket - is
this reasonable? It is a 4 cylinder engine.

Bluetec or CDI19 May 2007 17:00 GMT13
Looking at some new Diesels.  Should I consider the straight 6 CDI (used 05
or 06), or go ahead with the new Bluetec (non-Adblue version)?  It seems as
if the Bluetec system is more complicated, but I haven't spoken with anyone
knowledgeable enough to know the advantages and ...

Mercedes S55019 May 2007 16:21 GMT1
The new 2007 S-class says to hell with all that. To start, it's larger
than today's car in every dimension. The long-wheelbase model-the only
one we'll get in the States-is 1.7 inches longer, 0.7 inch wider, and
1.1 inches taller..
