I have lost the only key I have to my 1984 500SEL Grey Market.

What exactly are my options here.
The locksmith tells me that I can get another key from the dealer for
Opinions on this W210 web site18 May 2007 03:53 GMT11
I stumbled across this web site a few days ago.  The site creator has some
great information there, but the section that lists "common problems" IMO
make the W210 sound like junk.  It almost sounds as if all of the cars will
have these issues and you can expect to fix them during ...
'03 E320 vs '89 300E17 May 2007 20:52 GMT20
I drove the '03 E320 today and found myself rather disapointed compared
to my old '89 300E.  What am I missing here?  it seemed to me that the
engine was not as smooth, almost a buzzy quality when accelerating...
definitely not as quiet as my old warhorse.  then driving a V6 ...
76 240D transmission problems17 May 2007 20:46 GMT1
My 76 240D transmission shifts into gear but won't move. Engine runs
fine. Is this something I could troubleshoot myself? (vacumn leak
etc.) Or is it a trip to the transmission shop (or the parts yard)?
Any advice?
REST mode17 May 2007 17:31 GMT1
Anyone notice the REST mode on the climate control is gone on the new W211s?
Not sure about other models.
I thought that was a nice feature.
What to replace when installing new engine in 1993 190E 2.6?17 May 2007 16:12 GMT3
I'm having a new long block (from Metric Motors) installed in my 1993
190E 2.6.  The rest of the parts will come from my existing engine which
has 120,000 miles on it.
In addition to motor mounts, belts, and hoses, is there anything else I
96 E320 Brakes16 May 2007 14:57 GMT4
I changed the brake pads (front) last week, and the pedal seems soft.  Do
the lines have to be bled after a brake job?  I pumped the pedal but it
never really firmed up.

97 E320 Starting Issues15 May 2007 22:30 GMT3
I had the same problem about a year ago and it went away.  About every 10 -
15 times it doesn't start.  Turns over, but no start.  I'll come back 3
hours later and no problem.  Very frustrating, because it is intermittent.
Any ideas?

has stood overnight or longer.  There is no obvious leak and no service
person has ever commented.
Your suggestions welcome.

Sudden Loss of Freon15 May 2007 19:57 GMT10
The a/c in my 1977 450slc a/c was not functioning.  There was a
definite lack of refrigerant.
No leak die was located.  The previous owner had had the car repainted
the month before I bought it and it was suggested that the freon was

I have a 1983 300SD, and I need to replace the rear springs.  I have replaced
the springs on my old Dodge, and I was wondering if it was the same procedure,
and if it was as easy?
