Hi - just started driving a 5-speed manual c-class... with the foot
"parking brake" (ie no handbrake)
I have to drive a long (>1 mile) uphill section which in rush hour is
stop start every few yards on the uphill section...

My 94 sl500 seats are quite worn and starting to separate at the seams.
New upholstry is very pricey  and I intend to keep this car for many more
years .  In view of this expense  does it make any sense to try to retrofit
newer air conditioned seats? Or does any one know if this ...

The engine from my 300 TDT is being remanufactured by Metric Motors
right now.  I talked to Mike at Metric the other day, and found out
that the head on my engine was cracked bad around the "prechamber
hole" in 4 out of 5 cylinders, which Mike says is unusually bad

Until my car is fully warmed up to operating temperature the transmission
shifts a little funny.
Shifts are delayed...and then a little harsh. Once car is warm it shifts
pretty much when you would expect...but still a bit on the harsh side.

My  E320 .100K mi. in great shape ,.except merc. dealership informs me that
my a/c compressor leaks.New compressor $800+450 labor + seals etc.$1600.Wow!
Any chance that a recharge with leak sealant  I could limp along  for the

Just received a rebuilt Bosch alternator, and I also bought a voltage
regulator.  Where does the voltage regulator connect to, the alternator
itself?

I have a 1984 380SE.  The antenna will only erect to the intermediate
position, not all the way.
I've read that the antennas are prone to failure, but now that I have
one half failing, I am wondering if I should be looking at the switch

AC blows warmer than cool.  I assume it is R12. Saw a kit at Autozone
for $50 for the conversion.   Or should I take the beast to a shop for
a recharge?
Should I stick with Bosch at $130 or buy a generic for $25? Big price

I have a 2000 ML350 and I can not find the child safety lock for the back
doors.
Does anyone know if this feature exists? Owners manual does not say anything
and I can not get a straight answer from the dealer.
