While traveling in Europe I saw a European version of my 1981 380 SL. Liked it's looks a lot better. How much of the European stuff like bumpers, headlights, and interior dash is a direct swap and is it both available and legal?

anyone done the front springs on '88 ish W124? my 88 230 TE failed its test on a broken front spring (etc.), the guy who tested it for me (a mate) quite gracefully got out of the job claiming to be too busy, he reckons its a pig of a job?

I noticed I can easily start my E 220 CDI (W210) without preheating although instructions recommend to preheat. Is it ok to do so or do I risk damage in some motor part? Thanks! Kind regards

I was looking at my 84 300D engine and realized that the air cleaner really puts a lot of twists and turns in the flow path for the air coming in. I was thinking about streamlining this flow with an aftermarket air cleaner/intake piping.

I have a 1990 CE with 200k miles. For few years I've been running Michelin MXV4 Energy Plus, size 205/60/15. Nice and quiet and good handling. I know the book calls for 195/65/15, and I can no longer remember why I went to the slightly wider, slightly lower tire. Maybe
