I picked up an 81 300SD that had ignition switch problems. To get the air conditioner to work, you had to wiggle the key. Ok, no problem, replace the ignition switch... After hours of messing with it, I finally got it replaced and everything

Hi Folks - AM radio reception is terrible in my 1998 E320. It is an aftermarket radio. I understand this is a common complaint with Mercedes. Is there anything that can be done?

I have an 89 300E that blows nice, cold air through the air conditioning for about 20 minutes then it turns warm. If I let the car sit for about 30 minutes, I'll get cold air again. My mechanic seems to think it may be something shutting off the compressor (short, relay, etc.). ...

There is an advertisement for a five speed from a 1986 190D. It states that it SHOULD fit a 190E. Is this right? Is the 2.3 transmission the same as the 2.6 transmission? If so, besides linkage, will this be a bolt up installation?

Had the 73 SL painted many years ago. Am replacing the pillar post seals and a few trim items, and now find out the painter lost or broke many of the original screws so he used off sized screws (even some wood screws) as replacements S**T!

Quit like you turned off the key. Had to be towed to a shop. After sitting over night, it sterted and ran OK. I suspect the ignition module, since I had similar experiences over the years with a Ford and a Volvo. The module lists for about $1800, but I can buy a used one for ...

If you have no vacuum to the valve look for a leak in the system there is a vsv (vacuum switching valve) behind the right side console kick panel. If you have vac to the vsv then the valve may be bad if not, then check the supply line from the vacuum source. Follow the vac lines ...

I finally decided to renew the glow plugs on my '84 300SD and things went smoothly until I came to the #1 plug. It wouldn't budge and I wound up rounding off the darn thing. My glow plug light was working intermittently, but hasn't lit up in some time.
