C240 2001 routine service28 Feb 2008 14:35 GMT15
We have only 25000 miles about 5000mi per year.  I have been using an
independent shop which charges a little over $500 for an A service.
They do only MB, BMW, and Volvo and seem very competent.    I was
considering the once a year stuff like oil and filter once a year at
c240 oil change interval (2002)27 Feb 2008 14:41 GMT1
The service A and B are 15K KM apart. That is when dealer change oil
along with other inspections.

300E Bad Cat Converter ?26 Feb 2008 04:38 GMT5
I just had my emissions / smog check here in California and the NOx were

300D Fuel Primer24 Feb 2008 21:13 GMT2
I changed fuel filters today and realized for the first time that my
injector pump has a Bosch plunger-type primer pump that does not
unscrew. Has anyone else had experience with these type hand pumps? It
seemed like it took forever to purge the system of air, but I was
Tire Opinions W123 300D23 Feb 2008 22:07 GMT19
I've seen other posts on tires here, but wanted to solicit opinions on
a comparison between Michelin, Perelli (P3000) and Bridgestone. These
are 195/70/14s.
I'm looking for a smooth, quiet ride, more than "performance" in the
Aligning headlamps23 Feb 2008 21:59 GMT6
I am replacing my current sealed beam headlights but I don't
have a nice flat surface with a wall at one end.
The high beam of one lamp is burned out. So I am thinking of
the following.

I wasn't very clear on my original post so I am asking again. Thanks for
your input.
Some Mercedes have a rubber and metal disk that mounts on the front of the
driveshaft. It is called a vibration dampener. This is not the flex disks
