600 and a spanner on my trip meter?29 Apr 2008 16:27 GMT3
rh drive 1999 c200 petrol automatic. When I turn the key to the 1st
position the trip meter changes to display a spanner and "600" for
maybe 20 seconds. I've had the car for 4 months, it's just done 78,000
miles and seems to run ok. Does anybody know what this means? Thanks.

Hello to all !
1976 300d.  Run some biodiesel, but use petrodiesel also.  Car shows
80K miles, but most likely 180 or 280K miles.  Will replace the valve
cover gasket since the existing one leaks like a screen door on

I've got an 82 240 D w/ good compression that will smoke at startup
and then stop smoking till you rev it. It can use a quart of oil in 2
hours if you drive that 2 hours at 70. Much less if you drive slower.
I was thinking valve seals.

So I've determined that four of the glow plugs in my '85 300D are bad;

For years I have boycotted Walm-mart because of their slave-shop labor

came with a wal-mart battery, and when it ran out under warranty, I
got another one from them for free. I used to always get them from
