After further inspection  I will be booking in with the local dealer
subject: leaking valve cover gasket. With the kind prompt from "tiger"
second removal of

My mercedes 300E does not start, the crankshaft won't try to turn, the
waterpump has just broke down few days before, but now it just does
not start at all... wonder if when over heated the relay wouldnt work..

Anyone know who makes the actuator motors used in Mercedes central locking
door actuators. I do mean the motors inside, not the actuator modules.
Probably japanese or chinese.
Looks like something that might be used in model railways or something. All

A year ago I repaired the sunroof. The two angle pieces and the bridge
between them were wrecked and therefor replaced. Sliding parts were
greased with original Mercedes sunroof grease (must be made from
caviar or something else expensive) and parts were adjusted as

1996 E300D.  I have some rust appearing on the trailing edge of the front
wheel arches and the leading edge of the rear wheel arches.  I want to treat
the rust, but to do the job properly, I need to remove the plastic skirting.
I can't see any obvious clips, so does anybody know ...

I have had several Mercedes sedans, each with the optional factory floor
mats. In each case the drivers mat slides around due to foot action on
the pedals. The mat ends up all bunched up, nearly getting under the
brake pedal. Does anyone out there have a fix to stop the sliding ...
