It is a strange problem. When I fill the tank completely the gauge reads empty but I don't get a low fuel light. Once about an eighth of the tank is used the needle jumps and gives a proper indication. Obviously its malfunctioning.

Suddenly my brake and turn lights have decided to go on strike. All other lights are ok. I did a continuity test on all the fuses and they are ok. The bulbs also seem ok.

At a recent service at the dealer, (yeah, I know, dumb) the adviser recommended a drain, flush and refill of the auto transmission on my 2000 S430, 90k miles. He said this was something new that MB was now recommending for all its cars. Price was to be $400+. I declined.
