Help - Tiger or anyone31 Aug 2008 17:37 GMT4
I have a 300ce 1990. Great car but I have been having a problem with the
windows. They won't roll down. Sometime's, when it's cold out, they will
work sporadically. But when it's warm out, anything over 60 degrees F, they
don't want to work anymore. I've checked and replaced the ...
Bulb out warning light30 Aug 2008 05:17 GMT5
On my '92 300D occasionally upon braking the burned out bulb indicator
light activates. I've had someone else hold the brake while I look for this
phantom bulb to no avail. Today it did it and on a whim, turned on my
headlights. Voila, the indicator went out. What's up?

You can't help but wonder how many of these other 'recollections' are total
bullshit also.

Hi. Can anyone advise on how to troubleshoot this problem?
Cruise Control lever accelerates when lifted and decelerates when
dropped. It does not stick to any speed.
I don't know what components make up the cruise control, especially

W123 Dash Texture27 Aug 2008 03:21 GMT2
In a wrecking yard I found a crack-free black dash board. I got it to
replace the very cracked blue dash in my car. While prepping it for
painting, I saw that the texture was different from any other W123 dash that
I have seen. It has small bumps like lizard skin rather than the ...
MPG using low octane25 Aug 2008 15:03 GMT15
some of you may be interested in my little experiment.  I used 87 octane in
my B200 for a tank and noted that my average gas usage was 7.0L/100km I then
did virtually identical driving using 91 octane (which I'm supposed to use)
and found that my milage increased to 6.4L/100km for ...
90 560SEL M117 Won't start after rebuild25 Aug 2008 02:57 GMT1
I just finished installing the engine and found a new problem that
didn't exist before I started the project.  The engine will not start
unless I "prime" it with a little gas poured into the intake.  It will
immediately stall unless I feather the throttle and keep the RPMs

617 diesel injection pump wrench?24 Aug 2008 00:30 GMT3
I'm going to check the injection timing and replace the nozzles on my
1980 300SD, 617 engine.   What wrench have folks been using for the
17mm connection where the injector piping meets the injection pump?
I've seen a special Hazet socket type wrench made for the purpose,
1982 240D AC23 Aug 2008 23:51 GMT9
If the AC in my 1982 240D is working I sure can't feel it.  At least not
much cold air is coming out.  I took it to my local mechanic who will check
it out.  But he said that since it uses old coolant it would probably have
to be "converted" if there's a problem.  Does anyone ...
MB diesels in USA23 Aug 2008 19:59 GMT16
I had a 1981 300D from 1991 to 2005, and I put 244,000 miles on it.
Great daily driver, but I did not want to cough up for engine work
(seals were shot) so I sold it on eBay.  Also, larger than I want.
My current daily driver is a 2000 Dodge Stratus with the 2.5L
