I have a chance to purchase a 1993 300e 4dr sedan that is in great shape interior and exterior wise; however, it has a leaking head gasket. I think that I can get it for under $1K, and do the work myself...what are your thoughts on this?

Our dealer can't handle our oil change for us, so I undertook to do it myself. I've removed the belly pan, drained the oil, and........................I can't find the filter. Anyone know where it is?

Any advice on what weight oil to run in a 300SDL with 355,000 miles? I have seen internet postings of people running 15w40, but their mileage is lower than more so i didn't know if that was still a good weight to be using at 365k mi.

The speedometer on my 1983 380SL is accurate, but the odometer has started slowing down. It now turnover one mile for two driven. I started noticing this when it appeared the gas mileage was dropping off. Is there anything that could need lubrication or any ideas where the ...

I just set up the DieselGiant (DG) purge and so far it has not worked very well. I haven't even been able to get a single pop from the engine. The DG instructions give no indication of the need

There were two small (1-2 mm wide) rust spots on the car. One on the driver door and other on the driver side rear fender (above the wheel). I took it to dealer who sent me to the MB body shop. They agreed to fix it although car just went out of warranty.
