E320 cdi servicing schedule11 Feb 2009 15:03 GMT5
I'm on the point of buying a very tidy E320 cdi with 75k on the clock.  Am I
looking at a huge servicing bill in the near future?  I expect it's due for
a major service at either 80 or 90k but the local main dealer was singularly
unhelpful on the issue.  So how much is it likely ...
Restoration problem10 Feb 2009 16:00 GMT3
I'm restoring a 72 Benz  and I've got some serious
rust damage in the passenger side floor panel. I posted a picture
below.
Any suggestions on a quality repair would be appreciated.
Limited slip for W124 300D?09 Feb 2009 17:25 GMT24
Anyone know of an aftermarket LSD for this beast? Kleeman and Quaife
make them for V8 and V12 Mercs but no joy for us guys whose needs are
limited to winter and wet weather driving. From what I've heard of MB's
ASR the last thing I want is to retrofit one of those into my car.
Mercedes Diesels of the 1980s09 Feb 2009 16:56 GMT46
"...it's hard to beat an old Mercedes diesel.  The diesels
from the early 1980s, including the 300SD, 300D, 240D,
300TD, and 300CD are relatively inexpensive to purchase,
and they are still reliable cars after all these years..."

Check this out, it looks like the car's owner is going to have some
serious payments to make in the next couple of months :S. Whoever he
is I sure wouldn't like to be him!

all weather tyres for SL500?06 Feb 2009 05:26 GMT4
I've got a 2002 SL500 with AMG 18 inch wheels, the front currently has
a  PZero 255/35 18 and the rear is PZERO 285/35 18.  I know it's a
long shot, but I wondered if anyone does an all weather tyre that
would fit these wheels?
Simple Air Mass Sensor Check for DIY car buffs06 Feb 2009 00:05 GMT1
While having the air filter assembly off and car running, lean over
and with your mouth, blow air on the sensor. Idle should change with
an operational sensor (mine dropped, I think it fooled the Electronic
Control Module and enriched fuel delivery without get more air with
E320 Part Number...05 Feb 2009 19:54 GMT6
Would anyone have the part number for the rear window stop light on a 96
E320?
I've been trying to find this on the web with no luck. The interior is dark
tan/pumpkin.
