Whenever it rains I get a significant puddle on the right side
(passenger side in the US) rear floor. Since I was doing some other
work, including replacing the front seat, I decided to give it the
hose test while I had the seat and carpet out. I am getting water in a

Hey Everyone,

My 300SD which now has 130K miles on it, has a transmission issue
which is beginning to show.   When the car hasn't been driven for
several days, when I first go to drive it, it takes maybe 10 seconds
of applying some throttle before the car starts to move.  Then it just
Repair of Plastic Parts20 May 2009 17:55 GMT7
Does anyone have experience with gluing broken or cracked plastic parts?  I
was considering using the adhesive used for PVC pipe to repair some black
colored parts in a non-stress application.   I have some broken attachment
brackets on some fairing around the wiper motors.  Of ...

B lue Smoke20 May 2009 11:02 GMT3
Wife's little 280 has blown oil smoke, on startup, a couple of times for
5 seconds or so. It has less than 15,000 miles. There are no codes. Oil
looks almost like it just came out of the bottle.
Dealer tries to tell me it is condensation and there is nothing to check
Garage Door Opener Problem.19 May 2009 03:57 GMT2
My 2000 S430 has garage door opener buttons built-in on the bottom edge of
the rear view mirror.  Lately the door opener motor has occasionally not
responded to button presses, and occasionally responded only after many
presses.  The opener motor responds OK to presses of its own ...
Access to Wiper Motor '91 SL18 May 2009 17:36 GMT5
I would like some advice in reaching to the wiper motor and linkage on my
1991 300 SL.  I've had the linkage lubricated several times by  MB shops but
this has not prevented the wiper from stopping.  When I need the wiper while
driving in the rain, it will run from 5 to 10 ...

mercedes or GM ac compressor11 May 2009 17:46 GMT7
My 1984 300SD needs a new ac compressor.  My last mechanic
said mercedes compressors were junk and GM's were better.
I'm running R12 in the AC.
I've read in past posts that Mercedes ones are better because
removing ac expansion valve 300sd10 May 2009 16:37 GMT3
I've read somewhere that the expansion valve on a 300sd is a pain
to remove and that there's a special mercedes tool to take it out.
I'm putting in a new compressor and drier thought I'd do the
expansion valve while the system is empty. Is it really that much
