| Mini Cord | 13 Jul 2003 19:11 GMT | 4 |
Iam looking at a 1995 Mini Cord apparently from Venezuala. Any opinions? http://www.minipassionmini.50megs.com/gb/historyminicord.htm It has a fiberglass body (no rust!) but everything else is stock Mini. Is this a good idea? Bad idea? I¹d like opinions. THANKS

| Fun with needles (no, I'm not on heroine)! | 11 Jul 2003 08:39 GMT | 3 |
I had a great time yesterday. I decided I was going to try to give my mini a better carburation after fitting a stage 1 kit and spent a few hours making my own needle starting from an AAV and using winsu from www.winsu.co.uk as reference. I sanded it down here and there testing

| Yokohama A048R (165/55/12) Tyre | 10 Jul 2003 16:21 GMT | 1 |
Looking at my front tyres (currently Dunlop sports 165/60/12) i think soon i will need new ones. I corner pretty hard so it's my own fault, though I have done 20k on them which i guess isn't bad. Saw that Yokohama A048R (165/55/12) Tyre are even lower profile (another 5%

| glad i asked then! | 09 Jul 2003 10:14 GMT | 3 |
Well just as well I asked then! (as if i would buy a car without checking with everyone first) I was tempted to get a newer car because of all the miles I put on mine and didn't want to keep a car with too much mileage.. perhaps then I'd be better

| I think they're trying to rip me off | 08 Jul 2003 21:16 GMT | 6 |
I fitted a stage 1 on my 998 and took it in today for a rolling road tuning session. I left the car this morning and at 6 pm this guy calls me saying he could not do any tuning because the parts are not at all right. He said that the exhaust and the inlet manifolds are too big for ...

Hey folks, My '97 Cooper (Mpi) failed the MOT today on emissions. Passed the natural idle test, but failed both fast idle tests because of the lambda reading (CO and HC were fine) At 2846 rpm lambda was 1.152 (limits are 0.950 - 1.090)

| is it worth upgrading | 07 Jul 2003 07:39 GMT | 3 |
Hi People, I am tempted to sell my 95 Stage 1 Rover Cooper and buy a 98 or newer Cooper Sport, if I did so would I notice signigicantly more power or would it just be the big wheel arches and extra safetly features

| Auxillary Temp Sensor options | 07 Jul 2003 04:35 GMT | 7 |
3 QUESTIONS about adding a better coolant sensor/gauge: <1293cc engine> I've got an original electric, temperature sender in the head (of the car) ;-) . It currently (no pun intended) sends its resistance values to a cheapy temperature gauge in the center combo gauge (fuel, ...

At Mosport this weekend for vintage car races, I picked up a couple of copies of the 'Mini Gazette'. This is the club newsletter of the 'Mini Owners of Southern Ontario', and particularly attractive since in it's masthead it declares "This is a BMW-free Newsletter.
