Cost of repair/maintenance31 Aug 2003 03:08 GMT1
I am wondering about the availabilty of parts and the cost of
repair/maintenance if one purchases a restored Mini in the U.S.A.
As I am not mechanically inclined, where do mini owners go to service
their vehicles?

The old 25's just come back from a visit to the local AA Service Centre for
a checkover before going off on The Italian Job run at the end of October
and, amongst other things they've described the rear subframe as "heavily
corroded, dangerously thin and breaking up".  All this less ...

Rust remedies?27 Aug 2003 17:50 GMT8

Distributor27 Aug 2003 10:27 GMT3
Recently bought a 1969 998 cooper engine and I want to install it on my 1991

fitted an electronic ignition kit to this distributor and I don't really
want to go back to the contact breaker points.

I'm trying to find a second hand 45mm Weber at the moment (in Australia) and
there aren't many around except at very high prices.  new ones seem to be

more than i hoped to spend...
