In the discussion about Millers Oils, the discussion of a newsgroup charter
was introduced. I have been searching through the archives, both for the
usenet control messages and in this group, but it seems as if the group
actually does not have an archive.

idle speed & mixture question25 Aug 2003 09:25 GMT6
I have a weird problem, I can't get the idle speed lower than 1400 rpm
without leaning out the mixture too much. the idle speed screw on my hs4
(the one that adjusts the opening of the throttle) is backed off fully so
it's not affecting the idle speed at all. Turning the mixture ...
Engine rebuild24 Aug 2003 19:28 GMT3
I'm rebuilding my 1275GT engine at the moment and want some ideas on
how to proceed, it is am A series with approx 65000 miles on it.
My plan is to rebuild to 1275 spec or at most 1293.  I want a reliable
motor and therefore plan to only tune mildly with a stage 1 kit.

The pipes do not appear to be getting any water through as if there is an
air lock. What is the best way of getting rid of the air ...

carburation question21 Aug 2003 23:51 GMT1
I've been fiddling with needles and the mixture screw under my HS4 carby
ever since I fitted my stage 1 kit. I think I've found a good needle but I
can't tell whether the overall carburation is lean or rich. I fitted new
spark plugs today, slightly "colder" than the standard ones ...
