Erratic performance, pt 230 Sep 2003 09:11 GMT11
Some of you might remember my previous post about erratic performance. I
thought the problem was solved, but interestingly, it reappeared today:
I have been running 95 octane unleaded successfully for a while, and it was
on switching back to 98 octane the problems re-started: the ...
Loss Of Drive29 Sep 2003 20:23 GMT6
Hoping someone might be able to help.
After months of looking, my wife finally bought a 97 Mini Cooper last
monday.  44 thousand miles FSH, ran sweet, with no noises, clutch
slipping, etc.

I've got a 97 mini cooper.
Is it possible to change the diff without removing the engine & box?
Australian Made HiLos/Adjustarides29 Sep 2003 12:43 GMT2
I remember seeing something about Australian made adjustable mini
suspension trumpets in a minimag/world a while back - but I can't, for the
life of me, find the article!
Does anyone know if I'm just dreaming or if these really exist.
Fuel Pump woes29 Sep 2003 10:01 GMT5
I have a 1991 Rover Cooper with the JC Big Bore 1380 conversion which has
twin 1.5 SU`s.  I was at Castle Combe yesterday, all excited sitting on the
grid, and off we went.  Except I didnt, I lost all power and crawled around
the track like a granny. Turns out the fuel pump is ...
A Garage28 Sep 2003 22:33 GMT15
I know it isn't technically the car but I am looking for a cheap way to
build a garage.  Has anyone got any experience of doing this to keep their
mini warm and dry while you work on it ;)  ?
Has anyone got a concrete garage that comes in sections?  Do they cost about
Rust28 Sep 2003 12:06 GMT5
I am interested in buying a Mini Sprite 1.3 - 1993 (black).  I have been
told that it is one of few produced in that colour.
There is rust which is begining to develop badly on the drivers side wing
only.  If i where do buy this, what could be done for a reasonably price?

Engine steadier rubber?28 Sep 2003 00:36 GMT5
My good mini-friend Sam, who also posts here (hi, sam!) pointed out that I
needed to install a piece of rubber in my left-side engine mount (seen from
the front), as it is completely gone, and causes a loud knocking sound
I went to Halfords, and I only received blank stares. Mind ...
Europe trip27 Sep 2003 18:23 GMT4
Hi Group
Next year, I am trying to persuade my wife to let us take our Cooper across
Europe for two weeks. There will be 4 of us in the car (2 adults, 2
children) and we plan to get the car ferry to North Spain and work back to
alternative seats?27 Sep 2003 17:54 GMT7
Hey everyone,
Just a quick question...
Apart from the Metro's, what other seats have you lot had in your minis?  My
'86 Mayfair (Norris) has the rather uncomfy centre headrest posts, and I'm

Rockers Question26 Sep 2003 15:46 GMT1
I've been offered by a workmate some forged 1.5 ratio rockers, but is there an
easy way to tell if they are 1.5 ratio rather than standard? Don't want to get
ripped off. Thanks.
John
